From the beginnings at the Institute for Sensory Research at Syracuse University to their headquarters today in Fairport, NY, SensGard rooted in the singular cause of protecting hearing.

The innovative science behind the patented technology was developed and patented by Dr. Jozef Zwislocki, distinguished Professor of Neuroscience Emeritus and founder of the Institute for Sensory Research at Syracuse University.

Dr. Zwislocki’s revolutionary design combined years of experience with sensory and auditory functioning and disorders with the simple science of sound waves and chambers, resulting in a cutting-edge device unlike anything else on the market.

In 2004, SensGard founder Greg Post was at a technology conference and came across Dr. Zwislocki’s prototype hearing protection device under the patented name Zwislocki Ear Muffler.  The concept intrigued him, but when he put them on, that’s when it really hit him.  The noise in the room was dampened, yet he could still hear Dr. Zwislocki speak very clearly. It was at that moment Greg realized that this little device was something special and SensGard was formed.

Today, in partnership with experienced audiologists and product experts, SensGard Ear Chambers and ZEM Intelligent Ear Chamber Technology continue to help people around the world hear clearly and communicate effectively now, so they can continue to hear the sounds they love later.
